It starts with ‘pregnancy brain’ and then you have the baby and naively think ‘oh goodie, I’ll get my head back now!’
And…you’d be WRONG!
So, so, so wrong.
Mommy brain: a belief that pregnancy and raising children impact a mommy’s mental health, even after the baby is born. Basically due to extreme tiredness. And maybe a little bit our crazy hormones.
That’s a pretty legitimate definition right there guys. I didn’t make it up at all.
There have been so many times that I have had awesome blog ideas come to mind, usually while I’m driving, and then when it comes time to sit and write a post all those ideas are gone.
Just like that.
I mean, that’s why I am writing this post about forgetting all of my good post ideas. It’s Sunday night and I can’t recall a single great idea that I have had and so, here I am, typing about not remembering because of mommy brain.
Not going to lie, forgetfulness plagues my daily life. I can’t tell you how many time I walk into a room with purpose only to instantly forget what that purpose was.
Between the ‘mom, mom, mom’ing and the poking and the sibling bickering it’s lucky I remember to feed myself on the daily.
I was going to type more; buuuuut…I can’t remember what.
But I will stop rambling on about mommy brain.
So, there you have it, it’s been just another Manic Momday!
Do you have mommy brain?!
What do you forget most?
